Adhesion Guides

Choose your product below for the correct application steps. Proper preparation and placement help the adhesive bind properly through the night.

Nose Strip Adhesion Guide

Our nose strips use a gentler adhesive for your skin, specifically designed for sleep. Please ensure you follow the instructions below so the adhesive binds correctly when applying.

Prep

Prep the Skin

Oil and moisture reduce adhesion.

It’s crucial to clean and wipe away any oil from your skin on and around the application area.

Use a towel or face cloth to firmly wipe the nose after cleansing/shower.

Avoid creams or lotions on the nose before applying.

Do not apply moisturiser to the area before application.

Skin should feel clean and fully dry.

Skincare

Skincare Before Applying

This refers to skincare before applying the adhesive.

Avoid applying skincare products to the nose prior to using the strip.

Even lightweight products can interfere with adhesion if not fully absorbed.

Placement

Correct Positioning

Proper placement helps prevent edge lift.

Start by placing the strip centrally on the bridge of your nose.

When pressed down, the bottom ends should sit just above the nostrils on each side.

Technique

Apply With Firm Pressure

Activation improves hold overnight.

Press the strip firmly into the shape of your nose.

Run your fingers up and down over the ends for 5 to 10 seconds to activate the adhesive.

Mouth Tape Adhesion Guide

Our mouth tapes are designed to support nasal breathing during sleep while staying comfortable on the skin. Please follow the steps below to help the tape adhere correctly and remove cleanly in the morning.

Prep

Prep the Skin Around the Mouth

Oil, moisture and skincare can reduce adhesion.

Clean the skin around your lips before applying the tape.

Make sure the area above, below and beside the lips is fully dry.

Avoid applying lip balm, face oil, moisturiser or heavy skincare around the mouth before use.

If you have facial hair around the mouth, adhesion may be reduced.

Skin should feel clean, dry and free from residue before application.

Comfort

Check You Can Breathe Through Your Nose

Mouth tape should only be used when nasal breathing feels clear and comfortable.

Before applying, gently close your mouth and breathe through your nose for a short moment.

If nasal breathing feels blocked or uncomfortable, do not use the tape that night.

The tape should support relaxed nasal breathing, not force it.

Placement

Correct Positioning

Good placement helps the tape sit flat and comfortably.

Relax your lips and gently close your mouth before applying.

Place the tape centrally over the lips so it covers the mouth evenly.

Make sure the edges sit on clean, dry skin rather than only on the lips.

Avoid stretching the tape too tightly across the mouth.

Technique

Apply With Gentle Firm Pressure

Pressure helps the adhesive bind to the skin.

Once positioned, press the centre of the tape down first.

Then smooth the tape outward toward each side.

Run your fingers over the edges for 5 to 10 seconds to help activate the adhesive.

The tape should feel secure, but not tight or uncomfortable.

Removal

Remove Slowly in the Morning

Slow removal helps protect the skin.

Peel the tape away slowly from one side rather than pulling it off quickly.

If the tape feels strongly attached, soften the area with warm water before removing.

Do not reuse the tape after removal.
